Royal Leather Patterns was founded in 2018 and is based in Dnipro, Ukraine. The catalog had grown to more than 180 designs when we checked. There are wallets and smaller accessories in the mix, but bags are clearly the center of the shop. The range includes crossbody bags, backpacks, totes, and travel bags rather than endless variations of the same basic wallet.
Many of the listings include a DXF file alongside the printable PDF. That distinction matters more to some makers than others. If you cut everything by hand, you can print the PDF, check the scale, tape the pages together, and trace the pieces onto leather as usual.
If you use a laser cutter or CNC machine, the DXF file can save a substantial amount of setup work. You can prepare the file for your machine or use it to cut acrylic templates without first redrawing the pattern from a printed page.
The PDF files support a normal hand-cutting workflow, while the included DXF files give machine users a cleaner starting point.
The shop also sells STL files for 3D-printing forming molds for small wet-molded projects such as earbud cases. These are separate products rather than something included with every leather pattern, but they give makers a way to produce a matching male-and-female mold without carving one from wood.

Royal Leather Patterns sells downloadable files, so there is no physical shipping or customs delay. Once the payment clears and the files become available, you can download the pattern and begin preparing it immediately.
That does not necessarily mean you will be cutting leather five minutes later. Larger patterns may need to be printed across several pages, checked against the scale box, trimmed, taped together, and transferred to heavier template material before they are ready for the bench.
Digital-download purchases are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or cancellations. Check the finished dimensions, required file format, pattern description, and included instructions before completing the purchase.
Download the files promptly and keep a backup copy somewhere you control. Do not rely on an old purchase link being available forever.
Watch Outs
- The billing name may look unfamiliar: Royal Leather Patterns uses Western Bid, Inc. as its Merchant of Record. A direct-site purchase may appear on your card or PayPal statement as WESTERN BID rather than Royal Leather Patterns. Knowing that beforehand can save you from thinking the charge is fraudulent.

- Check the finished dimensions. Make sure the bag, wallet, or case is the size you expect before buying the pattern.
- Confirm the included files. Look for PDF if you plan to print and cut by hand, DXF if you use vector or machine-cutting equipment, and STL only when purchasing a printable forming mold.
- Review the material and hardware requirements. Check leather thickness, hardware sizes, zipper lengths, and any unusual tools before assuming everything is already on your bench.
